Training Opportunities
If you are unable to find suitable employment, you may qualify for training services. If you are eligible, we may pay for some of the expenses of earning a degree or certificate in an approved field. Even if you receive a Pell Grant, we can help with the cost of tuition and/or books. Your Case Manager will evaluate your individual needs and develop a plan just for you.

Our clients have varying skill levels, some need more training than others. Our agency is prepared to evaluate your individual skill level and provide the appropriate training to help you step up to a new job and get you back to work as soon as possible. Now is the time for a new beginning. Let us help you on your way.

CORE SERVICES There are no eligibility requirements for Core Services.

Any individual will have access to core employment-related services. Information about job vacancies, career options, student financial aid, relevant employment trends, and instruction on how to conduct a job search, write a resume, or interview with an employer is available to any job seeker, or anyone who wants to advance his or her career.

INTENSIVE & TRAINING SERVICES
Title I clients must meet federal requirements under the Workforce Improvement and Opportunities Act (WIOA)

Who is eligible? If you are an adult or youth who is unemployed, underemployed or dislocated (laid off due to no fault of your own) you may qualify for training services under the Workforce Improvement and Opportunities Act (WIOA).

INTENSIVE SERVICES – If you are not able to find employment using our core services, the next step in our program is to assign you to one of our case managers for further evaluation and for assistance with securing training services.

TRAINING SERVICES – If you are eligible, we may pay for some of the expenses of earning a degree or certificate in an approved field. Even if you receive a Pell Grant, we may be able to help you with the cost of tuition and/or books, childcare, transportation allowance, and other support services. Your case manager will evaluate your individual needs and develop a plan just for you.

Adults: must be legal to work, at least 18 years of age, and low income.

Dislocated Workers: must be laid off through no fault of their own because of a closure or reduction in force and are unlikely to return to that job. Individuals receiving unemployment insurance (UI) benefits, or full-time homemakers who have lost the support of a spouse due to a lay-off, death, divorce, or permanent disability are considered a Dislocated Worker.

Youth: must be aged 14 – 24, low income, and have at least one barrier such as: basic skills deficient, school dropout, homeless, runaway or foster child, pregnant or parenting, living in a remote area, or be an offender, etc. (other means for eligiblity may apply – see case manager for details.)
